The Lunchbox Auction splits its proceeds between The Food Bank for New York City in the US and The Lunchbox Fund in South Africa whose goals it is to feed our children and give them every opportunity to learn and live their dreams.
The Lunchbox Fund is a non-profit organization that provides lunch to pre and high school children in South Africa. Many of these children are AIDS orphans running child-headed households, and often, it is their only meal of the day. You cannot teach a hungry child.
The Food Bank for New York City is the only food bank serving New York City and as a member of America’s Second Harvest, helps feed 1 in 5 children in New York City who rely on emergency food in this city of riches.
